Our design team has over 20 years of experience in security graphics and card design. We can work with submitted artwork for preprinting of cards with either screen, digital or offset printing. Or, we can assist in the design process from the beginning. In any case we can incorporate various security features to any design.

For security cards especially, we recommend our team assist in the card design effort in order to have a balance between robust security and compelling design. We can economically integrate embedded security features, security graphics and durable materials for a secure attractive card to remain durable up to 10 years.

Our graphics design team has enhanced capability to use a customer supplied photo or graphic and convert it into a custom security graphic with guilloche, microtext and security glyphs currently used in currency design. By starting with our design team, the security will also radiate a meaningful and visually attractive secure card.

Proper materials and card construction for both security and durability is vital to the success and impenetrability of a card project. We pull from the largest selection of image, laser receptive and durable materials available and also have over 60 combined years of engineering to manufacture a card that survives the test of time. Our team uses accelerated life cycle testing and can implement new designs quickly. Most of our projects require between 5 and 10 years durability after issuance. We can meet the desired specifications of the most stringent projects.

Visual security on a document serves as the most important security strategy since it is the first line of defense against fraudulent identification. A field officer must have the ability to easily detect a counterfeit document from an original document with accuracy. The officer’s visual inspection of a document alone (without need to use additional equipment) is the best method. Thus, if the most secure element of the document is detected visually and accurately, then capturing fraudulent documents and activity is simplified at the first line of defense, in the field (where it is most needed). We recommend a combination of security features such as subsurface metallic window card body, transparent laser serialization, and demetalized matching serialization barcode.

Overt Card and Covert card security features are most successful when they are nearly impossible to reproduce using relatively sophisticated means and easily recognizable with limited apparatus. It is costly to equip field officers with specific hardware to detect card features and furthermore most equipment can be faulty or lose battery power when called upon. Therefore, unique (and difficult to reproduce) OVD security features requiring something as simple as light (daylight or flashlight) are extremely secure and useful in the field.
